<div class="section1"><div class="Normal">The Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore invite applications for the the Joint Management Entrance Test 2004 (JMET 2004). The test will be conducted on December 12 between 1030 hours and 1230 hours.<br /><br /><span style="" font-weight:="" bold="">Structure</span><br /><br />The JMET will be of two-hour duration.
The questions in the test are designed to evaluate verbal, logical reasoning and quantitative analysis skills, and data interpretation ability. There will be 150 objective or multiple choice type questions in Verbal Communication (VC), Logical Reasoning (LR), Quantitative Ability (QA) and Data Interpretation (DI) sections.<br /><br />To appear for JMET, you require knowledge of basic mathematics, whichinclude arithmetic, algebra, geometry, set theory, probability and statistics and English.<br /><br />The VC section has questions to test your vocabulary, proficiency in correct English usage and comprehension. There will be questions requiring correction of given sentences and choosing the appropriate word. The LR section has questions based on facts and situations already given.<br /><br />The QA section mostly revolves around testing of knowledge of mathematics of the secondary school level and a few areas of algebra and statistics from the plus two or equivalent curriculum.
